Update from Jack's Family
We started this Gift Page for Jack in August this year. Since we started, some other amazing families have come forward to set up pages telling their own stories to help us raise the funds we need. ALL of the funds from these pages will go towards the life-saving treatment for these children. Some may be families in your area, if so we'd be hugely grateful if you could show as much support as you can by raising awareness with your friends, neighbours, relatives, local press. We're sure, with enough local support, we can make a life-changing difference to all of them. Thank you.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is our son Jack, he's two and adorable. He LOVES orange and green tic tacs, running around on the beach, and (believe it or not), watching Countdown on tv!
Jack also suffers from Sanfilippo disease. This is a horrible disease which gradually destroys their brain functions and physical ability. Without treatment Jack and other children suffering from the disease will gradually become mentally and physically disabled and will die in childhood.
We need to raise £600,000 for 20 children to trial a new drug at Manchester Children's Hospital in the UK. We know it's an absolutely mad sum of money, but this treatment is known to work and is literally ready NOW, it just needs to be clinically approved so it can be mass produced and made available to save hundreds of children's lives around the world.
We'd love it if you're able to help. We know it's a lot of money and there are a million charities out there who all really need help but if you can spare a few pounds, dollars, euros, yen anything that would be amazing and would make all the difference. Once the trial is carried out the treatment can be made available, at very little cost, for Jack and other children with this disease all over the world.
Please pass this Gift Page link (www.shareagift.com/jack) on to as many friends, family, colleagues, contacts as you can. There are children like Jack with Sanfilippo disease all over the world - with a little bit of help we just know we can get them the help they need!
Thank you, with love, Jack's Family
